Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
1. Who we are
Palwego (palwego.com) is owned and operated by Palwego LLC. This policy describes what we collect when you use Palwego and how we handle it.
2. What we collect
Account information — your email address, display name, and (if you sign in with Google) the name and profile photo Google shares with us.
Trip content — what you create in the app: trips, itinerary events, cities and dates, ideas, votes, comments, notes, costs and cost-split participants, and places you attach from search.
Technical data — sign-in session cookies and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.
We do not collect payment information (the Service is currently free), and we do not run advertising or ad-tracking cookies.
3. How we use it
To provide the Service: syncing trips between members in real time, showing who is online, sending invitation and account emails (confirmation, password reset), biasing place search to your trip’s cities, computing travel-time hints and cost splits, and keeping the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising.
4. Who can see your content
Trip content is visible to the members of that trip (owner, editors, viewers). If you mark a trip public, anyone with its link can view it — flip the toggle off to make it private again. Your profile name and photo are visible to people who share a trip with you.
5. Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run Palwego, each receiving only what their function needs: Supabase(database, authentication, realtime sync), Vercel(web hosting), Google (sign-in with Google; place search and details), Mapbox (maps and routes), Zoho Mail (account emails), and MailerSend (trip-invitation emails). We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — the ones that keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are set.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting a trip deletes its itinerary, ideas, notes, and cost data for everyone on it. To delete your account and its data entirely, email support@palwego.com and we will process the request within 30 days.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by row-level access rules, so trip data is only readable by that trip’s members (or anyone with the link, for trips you make public). No system is perfectly secure — use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
Palwego is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the Service evolves; material changes will be noted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Questions or requests: support@palwego.com.
